Owner of sink manufacturer Astracast, the HLD Group has acquired Reva and, according to the company, the purchase makes it the largest supplier of baths in the UK.
The business will now trade as Astracast, which alongside sinks will supply own-label bath products to retail and trade channels across UK and Europe.
The Airbath and Appollo bathing collections, now brands of Astracast, will be sold through independent retailers across the UK.
Managing director of Astracast UK, Chris Pearson commented: “This latest acquisition demonstrates HLD’s ambition and determination to develop the business and create a strong group of companies in the kitchen and bathroom sector.”
He continued: “The addition of Reva assets to the overall Group will allow us to build the business faster and 1 am thrilled to work with the Reva team towards this goal.”
Adding to its brassware collection, Vado has introduced the Kensington range to its product portfolio. The traditional-styled range features white ceramic lever handles and has been designed for those wanting to create a classic look. Kensington comes with the option of a H2Eco flow regulator to help reduce water consumption.
Extending its Sumptua rectangular Airbath range, Reva Industries has launched a further four options to the two sizes already available. The additions include a 1700 x 700mm Mono, 1700 x 750mm Mono, 1700 x 750mm Duo and 1700 x 700-850mm L-Shaped Shower bath, including a bath screen. In addition, Sumptua has been introduced with a 400mm bathing depth, compared to the existing 460mm.
Adding to the Bette One range is the Highline bath, along with complementary basins and additional shower tray sizes. The bath features wood veneer panelling in a choice of four finishes and can be ordered with a frame for tiling, or installed in a plinth. joining the bath is the Double washbasin, Monolith washbasin and four additional tray sizes, bringing the total number of trays to eight.
For housebuilders and specifiers looking for first and second fix installation, Bristan has introduced Easyfit taps which are installed from the top. The base is secured by an allen key and the choice of Acute or Vantage tap body is secured with grub screws. They come with flexible tails, complete with an integral isolaton so water doesn’t have to be turned off at the mains.
Granite sink manufacturer SCHOCK has published a catalogue for all its 2012 sink and tap lines. The 250-page brochure features 33 ranges across its Premium Line and Trend Line ranges in all their colours, sizes and installation options, along with accessories. In addition, it features almost 40 taps, with suggestions for appropriate sink combinations.
Consumer champion Which? has awarded the Electrolux EFC6000lX chimney hood four stars for noise and tive stars for odour extraction in its Cooker hood reviews. The wall- mounted hood has a noise level of 61 dB and a maximum extraction rate of 420m3/h. Available in recirculation or ducted options, it comes with two hob lights and two washable aluminium filters.
Reva Industries has launched a website for its Apollo assisted bathing range, to promote its collection of baths. A range of 15 options are available with assistance tools for those living in their own homes, sheltered accommodation, nursing and residential care homes.
