UK showering manufacturer MX-Group has purchased West Yorkshire-based Aquatora, known for its Storm showers and AquaDek wetroom products, for an undisclosed six figure sum. Former owner of Aquatora Andrew Bullingham will remain with the company, as commercial director and will work with MX—Group sales director Robertjohnson.
The Aquatora brand will survive the acquisition, with the business run independently and supported by MX-Group’s Dominic Cordon who is now national sales manager for Aquatora. MX-Group is set to invest and build the brand, with its current imported shower tray range being replaced by UK made models as well as create additional sizes.
MX-Group chairman Bernard Robinson said: “With more than 7 million products or components already heading out onto the market each yean we are a company to reckon with.” He added: “We’re rightly proud of our place in the sector and the quality ofthe products we produce. The acquisition of Aquatora and the appointment of Andrew Bullingham, strengthens our already strong grip on the shower tray sector and offers us an advanced entry point into the wetroom marketplace”
