Indesit Company welcomed over 500 kitchen specialists, independent retailers and multiples to its 100 event in London, celebrating 100 years of its Hotpoint brand. It also announced its largest ever spend of £l0 miIlion on above the line marketing. The 100 event featured kitchen roomsets reflecting the 50/60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, before revealing its latest Indesit and Hotpoint appliances, including its flagship built-in Luce collection.
The Luce range spans ovens, hobs, hoods, fridge drawers and a dishwashen including a selection of 450mm appliances, such as a coffee machine, microwave and wine cellar It includes single ovens with an electronic control that circulates two streams of air for improved cooking results, as well as a patented direct flame burner for its gas hobs. Luce will be supported by a £5 million media campaign, targeting 19million adults through TV, print, digital and events.
ln addition, 100 also showcased the re-vamped Hotpoint Aqualitis range of washing machines, which now feature an A+++ energy-rating and 11kg capacity. The washing machines were joined by a complementary tumble dryer with an A+++ energy-rating. These will be supported by a campaign for its Aqualitis laundry, which sees a tie-up with Disney Pixar Cars 2 in a competition consumers can win the chance to have the Elm premiered in their home town.
The Disney competition will be followed by advertising for its core range of washing machines and tumble dryers. Not to be outdone, lndesit revamped its cooking range, with a re-styling and improved energy efficiency, in the first re-design of its built-in range for seven years. And the lndesit Company also announced the dual branding of its Cannon range cookers, which will now be known as Cannon by Hotpoint.
Brands of the Indesit Company, Hotpoint and Indesit have launched a range of dishwashers with improved water consumption and increased energy efficiency. All full-size Hotpoint and lndesit built-in models now use 12 litres of water or less, offering a saving of 25% over previous models. Hero of the Hotpoint freestanding range is the A+ rated Hotpoint Ultima FDUD48l2 which uses 10 litres of water for a 14-place setting. It is joined by the Aquarius FLDS7O and Aquarius+ FDPF48l which use 12 litres of water All the full-size Aquarius and Ultima models have A++ ratings. Hotpoint will be further augmenting its range later in the yean with two 14-pIace setting Ultima models, including an A+++ rated 10 litre model and an A+ rated dishwasher which uses 7 litres. Reduced water consumption is also a feature of lndesit’s A+ rated Prime 14—place setting and its A-rated Start lDFl2S dishwashen which both use 12 litres of watert In addition, Indesit will be bringing out a 14·place setting, built-in model as part ofthe Prime range later this year.
