Earle & Ginger best kitchen retailer in north:
Metris dealer Earle & Ginger of Manchester scooped the award for Best Kitchen Retailer at the Northern Design Awards, held at the Grosvenor Hotel in Chester.
Organised by publisher of Concept for Living magazine, a homes and garden title for the North, the awards recognise the design industry. The award was judged on the quality of product offering, together with the company’s customer service. Partner at Earle & Gingen Vincent Bentham said: “We were delighted to be shortlisted for two categories and overjoyed when we won the Best Kitchen Retailer award.
Our latest collection, Metris has really elevated our portfolio. As the exclusive Metris dealer in the Didsbury area, the premium, contemporary collection is right up there with the top German and Italian brands. “To beat names such as Stuart Frazen, Clive Christian, Warendorfand, Harvey Jones demonstrates how highly regarded our company is becoming in the North of England. One of our Metris projects was also runner-up in interior design magazine IDFX’s design awards, so we have plenty to celebrate.”
Searle & Taylor opens EWE training centre:
Following the launch of Ewe and Intuo by Ewe into the UK, its agent Searle & Taylor has refitted its Hampshire studio. It has created the largest UK showroom and dealer training centre for the Austrian furniture brands.
The 3,000sq ft showroom features four displays for the premium Intuo collection and a further four displays are dedicated to the EWE ranges. ln addition, a further four displays highlight Searle & Taylor’s traditional kitchen offer which includes handmade and bespoke solid wood designs.
Director of Searle & Taylor, Jeff Searle commented: “In less than a year, we have over 20 dealers stocking the Intuo and Ewe ranges nationwide, and an increasing level of interest in the brands from consumers. We felt that the time was right to dedicate more space to these stunning kitchens in order to showcase them in our showroom, and to offer an ideal location for dealer training in the UK”.
